掌握与口腔正畸学有关的牙周病学、颞下颌关节病学、正颌外科学，儿童颅面生长发育学，遗传学，生物力学以及材料学等。

Preparatory Course Requirement

To grasp the correlative knowledge of Orthodontics such as Periodontics, TMJ Arthrosis, Orthognathic Surgery, Craniofacial Growth and Development of Children, Inheritance, Biomechanics and Material and so on.

1. Profile and Contact way of the Teachers

刘月华教授

同济大学口腔医学院副院长，正畸教研室主任，教授、主任医师、博士生导师。1988年和1996年分别毕业于武汉大学口腔医学院和北京大学口腔医学院，2000年加拿大不列颠哥伦比亚大学（UBC）牙学院博士后出站。国际牙医师学院院士，英国爱丁堡皇家外科学院院士及国际考官；中华口腔医学会正畸专业委员会常委，上海市口腔医学会口腔正畸专业委员会主任委员，中华口腔医学会颞颌关节及合学专委会合学组副组长，中国医师协会口腔医师分会委员。擅长舌侧固定矫治和睡眠呼吸疾病诊治。以第一作者或通讯作者发表学术论文110余篇，其中SCI收录论文22篇。参编《口腔正畸学》第5、6版普通高等学校“十一五”国家级规划本科教材和卫生部统编正畸专业研究生教材。博士论文<<口腔矫治器治疗阻塞性睡眠呼吸暂停综合征的研究>> 获北京医科大学1996年首届优秀博士论文一等奖；《口腔矫治器治疗阻塞性睡眠呼吸暂停综合征的机制研究》获2002年度教育部科技进步二等奖；《阻塞性睡眠呼吸暂停综合征的口腔矫治器应用研究》获2003年中华医学科技奖二等奖。先后获得国家级及省部级科研课题资助12项，其中连续获国家自然基金面上项目4项。《中华口腔正畸学杂志》、《口腔医学》、《临床口腔医学杂志》、《上海口腔医学》编委，《中华口腔医学杂志》特约审稿人、《Oral Disease》、《Sleep and Breathing》审稿人。

Liu Yue-Hua, Professor & Chair, Dept. of Orthodontics, Associate Dean, School of Stomatology,Tongji University. He graduated from Wuhan University in 1988 and Peking University in 1996. He was postdoctoral fellow from Jan. 1998 to Dec. 1998 in Faculty of Dentistry, the University of British Columbia, Canada. He is the member of International College of Dentists, an Examinar at the Conjoint MOrth RCS Edinburgh/CDSHK examination in Hong Kong. He is a standing Committee member of Chinese Orthodontic Society, and President of Shanghai Orthodontic Society. More than 110 articles, including 21 SCI articles, has been published.

2. Course Description

口腔正畸学是口腔医学的一个分支学科，与其它口腔专业学科有着密切的关系，与生物力学及整形美容学科也有着广泛的联系。它的学科内容是研究错颌畸形的病因机制，诊断分析及其预防和治疗。

Orthodontics is a branch of Stomatology. It is closely related to other professional disciplines,such as biomechanics and cosmetic surgery. The primary coverage of this subject is the study of the etiology of malocclusion mechanisms, diagnostic analysis and its prevention and treatment.  

课程性质：专业课

课程目的：研究错牙合畸形的诊断分析及其治疗和预防。

To study the etiology,diagnosis, treatment and prevention of malocclusion.

3. Course Objective and Requirement

在掌握错颌畸形的病因、分类及检查诊断基础上学会运用生物机械原理和适当的矫治器矫治常见的错牙合畸形。

To grasp the etiology ,classifications, examination and diagnosis of malocclusion; to have the ability to treat the common malocclusion by using biologic mechanical principle and appropriate appliance.

课程基本内容

口腔正畸治疗学  

掌握正畸治疗中支抗的设计思路及常用支抗形式。

掌握生长发育特点及常见早期错合畸形的危害，掌握预防矫治；掌握早期阻断性矫治。

掌握常见口外力及功能性矫治器的种类、适应症及作用特点。

掌握常规牙列拥挤、前牙深覆牙合深覆盖、反牙合、锁牙合矫治。

掌握成人正畸的特殊性，多学科联合治疗的方法。掌握成人正畸的目标和步骤；掌握成人的综合性治疗。掌握开合矫治的方式方法及注意事项。  

掌握舌侧固定矫治的适应症及特点。

掌握影响正畸稳定性的因素及正畸治疗中的常见风险。掌握保持的种类；掌握保持器。

Basic Content

Malocclusion  treatment

To comprehand bio-mechanics in orthodonics; to grasp the histological feature of different tooth movement.  

To grasp orthodontic treatment anchorage design ideas and common forms of anchorage.Grasp the growth characteristics and common hazards of early malocclusion.  

To comprehand heredity factors,including ethetic evolution and individual development; to comprehand enviroment factors, oral harmful habits and local disturbance in primary dentition and mixed dentition.

To grasp preventive orthodontics; to grasp the early interceptive orthodontics.To grasp the classification and action feature of functional appliance, to grasp the composition and mechanism of common mechanical removable appliance , to grasp the composition and mechanism of the appliance.

To grasp the basics of growth and development of the craniofacial; to grasp the development feature of dentition and occlusion.

To grasp the objective and procedure of adult orthodontics;to grasp adult’s comprehensive treatment.

To grasp the etiology of teeth crowding , extraction for orthodontics; to grasp the etiology of anterior crossbite and treatment;to grasp the etiology ,classification and treatment of anterior deep overjet; to grasp the treatment of posterior crossbite.

To grasp the classification and treatment of posterior crossbite.

To grasp the classification and treatment of openbite.

Treatment of adults with lingual orthodontic appliances. With the advent of lingual orthodontic treatment, an alternative became available to the adult patient who preferred to avoid the unesthetic appearance of conventional orthodontic appliances. The appliance has been shown to be as effective as labial counterparts in correcting all types of malocclusions.
